a sheep & a cow -> horses

We're in a deep mode of summertime around here - you might say, the trenches. This city changes its perspective once all the students leave and things are more relaxed (if you're over 30), or celebratory (if you're staying behind for the summer). Our major alterations in the flow of normalcy are: Braden's living down in Tacoma for the summer; his friend & roommate come autumn, Koester, is living in his room and taking over his rent; H&I have to find & secure a place to live before our leases run out at the end of July; and finally, this beautiful weather is occupying every second of our attention.

Actually, yesterday we went apt-hunting and were (I think) very successful; we found a complex with a beautiful view of the bay, almost overwhelming - the apt is actually kinda small, but the side that looks out on the water has a huge window, giving the impression that this little corner of space opens up into the vastness of the ocean. Which I dig of course. Also, gas stove. I shudder with glee. We have to call back middle of next month to find out about availablilty, but I'm very excited about it.

Also yesterday I got my new cellphone in the mail, double-yay for that action. It's got a camera. Heh. I mean, ahh, moo-hoo ha-ha.

What in sweet fuck is that, you might ask? Why, I shall tell you! They're novelty salt + pepper shakers my Mom picked up, I think at a garage sale. Also, I think they are fantasic. And hilarious.

It's been so long since I've posted, seems like tons of interesting things have happened... awesome weekend earlier this month in Bremerton... (oops, meant to write about that one, heh heh)... went down to Tacoma the week before Father's day to see Dadsies, and ended up having an awesome conversation with Spiderma~ i mean Paul Shreck about bushido (though he stabbed his pants with Braden's sword - well, we all had more than a bushel of Tequila, I can tell you). Also saw Braden & Erin more or less make peace, before she headed off to Fiji to be a smeakin' tour guide for the summer. Why I oughta'. Some people, I tell you. Well, for whatever complicated stuff happened twixt her & B in the past, I hope she has a good time there. Which she will, cause she's in freakin FIJI. ::tears, thumbsucking::

geech's gone to heaven, mister teewilliger

just in case anybody tries to call me, my cell phone is on the verge of death. it has this awesome deal where, when somebody calls and I go to touch the friggin thing, it turns off. this happens in the middle of successful calls as well. just randomly. i can't fully express my frustration... especially since I can't really afford a new phone right now. fie on this action!

i'd like to show you my mask

Sexy Japanese Vomit Homework: See Batman Begins. At any cost. To say anything about it would probably take away from it; suffice it to say, just when you start thinking this one might take the title from Burton's first (& finest) effort, the above line (mask) is uttered, removing any doubt. Batman's darkness unfolds chillingly.

"ten-head got it from chuckles - it fell off the truck"

the above most awesome line, autotrepannation in tidy verbal form, was spoken by Jared (see below) yesterday while we were helping him move out of his apartment. apparently, he was gifting Braden some paper, which originated from an office-supply store called "Chuckles," via an employee-slash-aquaintance also named Jared but with a severe receding hairline (forehead -> ten-head), himself having serendipitously gained a full box of printer paper that fell off a truck. so now you know.

truly, a god among men.
